HE Siphilangenkosi Dlamini – President

Hon. HE Siphilangenkosi Dlamini – President

Siphilangenkosi Dlamini is a dynamic youth leader, researcher, and social impact advocate currently serving as the President of the South African Youth Business Chamber. A seasoned student activist and academic, Siphila is completing his Honours Degree in Governance and Political Transformation at the University of the Free State. He is the Founding President of the United Nations Association of South Africa (UNASA) at UFS and the Acting Provincial Chairperson of the BRICS Student Commission in the Free State. Siphila’s leadership spans international diplomacy, entrepreneurship development, and student governance. He has organized large-scale conferences, including the Kovsies Model UN Summit, and led groundbreaking research projects on youth and economic participation. With strong skills in research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning, Siphila is committed to creating sustainable platforms for youth in business and leadership.

Thando Lukhele – Deputy President; Constitutional Affairs & Partnerships

Hon. Thando Lukhele – Deputy President; Constitutional Affairs & Partnerships

Thando Lukhele serves as Deputy President of SAYBC and oversees the Constitutional Affairs and Partnerships portfolio. She is the current President of the EFFSC-led SRC at the University of Cape Town (UCT) for the 2024/2025 term, spearheading the institution’s first all-female presidency. Thando is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Sciences degree and previously served as UCT SRC Undergraduate Academic Coordinator. With vast experience in student leadership, governance, and policy advocacy, Thando is passionate about inclusive leadership and financial accessibility for marginalized communities. Her strategic competencies include partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and program design. She also works with Gomolemo, advancing the rights of children with disabilities.

This critical portfolio is currently vacant and pending appointment. The Deputy President for Policy and Research will be responsible for leading SAYBC’s research agenda, policy formulation, and thought leadership on youth economic participation and entrepreneurship.

Michael Mnguni – Director of Public Relations & Spokesperson

Hon. Michael Mnguni – Director of Public Relations & Spokesperson

Michael Mnguni is a seasoned communications expert and public administrator with a BA in Governance and Political Transformation. He has extensive experience working in the City of Ekurhuleni's Economic Development Department and the Office of the Premier in Gauteng under the Transformation Chief Directorate. He served as Secretariat for the Gauteng Youth Advisory Panel and contributed to policy, research, and advisory services. Michael is also an entrepreneur and the Chief Administrator at Vutwa Waste Services. His leadership background includes three years in Student Representative Council (SRC) positions and serving as a SADC Youth Member of Parliament (2021–2022). With exceptional skills in communication, governance, and youth development, Michael ensures SAYBC’s voice is impactful and credible.

Kuhlekwethu Maseko – Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Zenani Seele is a sharp legal mind, currently pursuing her LLB degree, bringing strong analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills to SAYBC. Her foundation in legal principles enhances her ability to develop strategic communication content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance. Zenani possesses excellent written and verbal communication abilities and a strong background in research and stakeholder engagement. Her leadership ensures SAYBC maintains a compelling brand presence while strengthening relations with external partners. She is passionate about youth empowerment, legal literacy, and advocating for women in leadership.

Nontando Duma – Chief of Staff

Hon. Nontando Duma – Chief of Staff

Nontando Duma is an ambitious leader and current Honours student in Politics and International Relations. She has extensive experience working with international organizations like UNICEF and in community development through tutorial programs and charity initiatives. Nontando brings a strong background in research, policy engagement, and youth empowerment. She is passionate about creating impact-driven programs that build young people’s capacity in education and entrepreneurship. With strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, she ensures operational excellence within SAYBC.

Kuhlekwethu Maseko – Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Hon. Kuhlekwethu Maseko – Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Kuhlekwethu Maseko is a seasoned entrepreneur, political strategist, and former Councillor with extensive experience in governance, infrastructure, and policy oversight. He founded VoteSmart Solutions and Ryde, driving tech-based solutions for civic and economic participation. A University of London graduate, Kuhlekwethu is a multilingual professional with proven skills in strategic planning, program execution, and stakeholder management. His work empowers youth to engage meaningfully in politics and entrepreneurship, making him an asset to SAYBC’s operations and national impact.

Tshumelo Phaladi – National Staff

Hon. Lesego Nkoboloane – Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

Lesego Nkoboloane is a highly organized administrative professional with significant experience in project coordination, organizational systems, and office management. As Chief Administrative Officer, Lesego plays a crucial role in ensuring SAYBC operates efficiently and effectively. He is skilled in administrative compliance, document control, and internal reporting. Lesego is committed to enhancing organizational capacity, strengthening governance structures, and providing seamless support to the executive team. His competencies include process optimization, leadership coordination, and stakeholder liaison.

Tshumelo Phaladi – National Staff

Tshumelo Phaladi is a communications expert, researcher, and youth leader currently pursuing his Master’s in Politics. With experience in radio production, marketing, and facilitation, he brings diverse skills to SAYBC’s national programs. A member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, Tshumelo has led initiatives focused on youth empowerment, global engagement, and educational development. He is skilled in policy research, public speaking, and strategic communications, contributing to SAYBC’s knowledge production and advocacy.

Thembani Nteyi – Operations Officer

Thembani Nteyi is a multi-talented entrepreneur, artist manager, and former Policy and Transformation Officer for the UFS SRC (2022/2023). He brings strong competencies in project management, business development, and youth engagement. As a Political Science scholar, Thembani is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for youth in business and the creative industries. His leadership is driven by a commitment to amplifying young voices and facilitating platforms for emerging entrepreneurs. He excels in operations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic implementation.
